The heart behind each drop — the decisions, the details, the vision.
This garment is a primary stepping stone, not the whole message — the first of many. The brand has just started, and this piece exists to build the foundation and bring the purpose to life: to glorify and point to Christ through fashion.
This piece is written for a Chinese, not-yet-believing audience first, but it isn't exclusive to them. Anyone curious enough to ask what the back says is someone we can share a testimony — and the Gospel — with. It works the same way for those who can read 救恩 directly: the word means salvation either way, but it doesn't carry the same weight for someone who hasn't yet come to know what that salvation actually is. Everyone who wears this carries a different testimony — a different story behind why it means something to them. That isn't a dilution of the message; it's what expands the community, the heart, and the purpose of the brand.
Red was chosen for the symbolism of Jesus' blood — the blood that covers us and washes us clean of our sin through His death and resurrection. The whole meaning of salvation comes from the work Christ did on the cross, shedding His blood for us. When I landed on a red I liked, I looked up the hex code's name, and it turned out to be commonly known as animal blood. That felt significant — Christ is known as the unblemished, spotless Lamb. It was intentional too: before Christ, animal sacrifices were necessary to atone for sin. Through Christ, the unblemished and spotless Lamb, constant sacrifice is no longer necessary. His death and resurrection, once, was enough. As for the characters themselves, the reasoning is simple: translated to English, 救恩 means salvation.
The testimony is meant to be found through curiosity, not forced through declaration. It's not about being big or loud — it's about how the characters carry weight. It's passive, yet noticeable.
